3D in education

Home / Eilandschool De Jutter / 3D in education

International Conference 3D-Printing and Sustainability on Vlieland.

Community School De Jutter on Vlieland is going to focus on the International Conference 3D-Printing and Sustainability on Wednesday 6th of June from 11 am to 4 pm. The event is the closing activity to the prize-winning ErasmusPlus 3D in Education-project in which De Jutter takes the lead.

Erasmus+ is the European grant programme for Education, Youth and Sports. The Erasmus+ Project 3D in Education is all about 3D-thinking, 3D-designing and 3D-printing in Education.  The Vlieland school added recycling and sustainability from the start of the project, important issues when living in a Unesco World Heritage environment. This also makes the conference interesting as a participant in Leeuwarden Cultural Capital 2018.

Exhibition
Alongside a host of national and international contributions from Perpetual Plastic, ECV, The Province of Friesland, Jonathan Keep, Omrin, House Of Design, Norisk Software and Prof. Dr. Ir. J. C. Brezet the conference offers an exhibition of creative designs from students from Spain, Norway, Sweden, Finland, England and the Netherlands. Teachers from these countries will be present for informal Q and A’s.

Programme
In the programming the ferry-departures have been taken into account, in order to accommodate visitors from the mainland, so they can also be part of this 3D-spectacle. More information will be available on www.3du.eu . There you can also enlist for talks and workshops.
