Uitkomst van 3D uitwisseling met de Mariaschool uit Eelde paterswolde.
Last year, June 26th, we went to Vlieland to visit de Jutter because of the workshop of Jonathan Keep. In our school we have two 3d-printers and we were interested in the way de Jutter uses it in their school and so Thijs Speelman invited us to join the workshop at his school.
We had a great day and went home with a lot of inspiration. Especially the idea to collect plastic waste from the island and turn it into new filament inspired us. Our school is part of a group of 34 primary schools in the north of Holland. Our visit to Vlieland was one of the reasons our 3D-printing education got a boost. Rik set up a 3D-printing competition for the 34 schools, with the intention to get things rolling, and also to share and inspire each other. This resulted in the fact that the 3D-printers in almost all of our schools are now being used and that information and ideas about 3D-printing -like stimulating entrepreneurship- is being shared across our primary schools.
